Liv Tyler Won’t Return To ‘9-1-1: Lone Star’ Due To Pandemic

‘9-1-1: Lone Star’ will soon start its season 2 but sadly, without her lead actress, Liv Tyler. The hit Fox show was a breakout that featured Rob Lowe and Tyler as protagonists. However, Liv will not be returning to reprise her role because of the ongoing pandemic.

The sudden departure is because of the traveling inconvenience caused by the pandemic. The mode of transatlantic commute remains uncertain just the ongoing situation of the coronavirus. Under such circumstances, Liv and the show makers had to take this tough decision, keeping in mind Liv and her family’s well-being. However, her departure is open to return.

Liv played the role of paramedic Emergency Medical Services captain, Michelle Blake. Her absence will be filled by Gina Torres. Gina will play the role of the new Paramedic Captain Tommy Vega. The makers of the show said that they were extremely glad to kick start the show with a movie star as big as Liv.

They say that they will forever be indebted to Liv and her fierce portrayal of Michelle Blake. They believe they were able to complete a complete story with Blake in season 1, they are still open to creating more stories together. Michelle kept looking for her sister throughout the season and finally found her at the end. Now, it it time for the audience to watch some new stories.
